There is definitely a divine being looking out for us...
but how well we see it
depends on how much we are willing to live our lives the way we want it.

Ithaca

When you set out on your journey to Ithaca
,pray that the road is long,
full of adventure, full of knowledge.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the angry Poseidon -- do not fear them:
You will never find such as these on your path,
if your thoughts remain lofty, if a fine
emotion touches your spirit and your body.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the fierce Poseidon you will never encounter,
if you do not carry them within your soul,
if your soul does not set them up before you.

Pray that the road is long.
That the summer mornings are many, when,
with such pleasure, with such joy
you will enter ports seen for the first time;
stop at Phoenician markets,
and purchase fine merchandise,
mother-of-pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
and sensual perfumes of all kinds,
as many sensual perfumes as you can;
visit many Egyptian cities,
to learn and learn from scholars.

Always keep Ithaca in your mind.
To arrive there is your ultimate goal.
But do not hurry the voyage at all.
It is better to let it last for many years;
and to anchor at the island when you are old,
rich with all you have gained on the way,
not expecting that Ithaca will offer you riches

Ithaca has given you the beautiful voyage.
Without her you would have never set out on the road.
She has nothing more to give you.

And if you find her poor, Ithaca has not deceived you.
Wise as you have become, with so much experience,
you must already have understood what Ithacas mean.

maybe its not because you don't know what you want..
everyone does..
but maybe its because you're trying to fit what you want into..
the definitions of society..
you're trying to fit your big dream into someone else's fixed reality..
leaving you lost at what to do..

I used to treat Bob Marley's lyrics like it had alot of hidden meaning...
but I didn't really enjoyed it..
Until I realised it simply about the feel-good and the simplicity..
the pureness and direct tone which he delivers his messageĀ
of love...
or IAMLEGEND..
just made me gain an interest in him again..
haha.

Why are we all so keen to rush off into our inevitable destinies..
When that very destiny is already existing in the here and now...
The beauty of every moment we live is lost...
simply because we don't take the time to appreciate it..
or aren't aware enough to care...
too lost in our own percepts of it...
The wind gently flowing past your face
The faces; markings of timeworn features
Sometimes the sounds of silence...
The small things, or so we presume...
get thrown out...
we become oblivious in our mad rush towards
like I say...
our supposed inevitable destinies..
your job...
your crush...
your need to accomplish...
your need to expect..
to sustain yourself...
to tell you that life's worth living...
when really...
all that you need..
is to sit down..
and listen...
and to take things as they come...
after all
Free will can only exist if you are given choices..
and only God can give you those choices...
no point rushing off here and there...
when I've been given the option to sit here...
to think...
to ponder...
to appreciate.
then finally to choose.
for the better.
